چکیده
Abstract Introduction Buccal mucosal grafts (BGM) are widely used in male urethral reconstruction and have more recently been reported for female reconstruction. We report the first case of using a buccal mucosa graft (BMG) to cover excised 12:00 vestibule 19 year old woman with lifelong persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD) presumed secondary congenital neuro-proliferative vestibulodynia. She presented our clinic at 17 underwent lysis clitoral adhesions, excision core region primary closure, complete vestibulectomy vaginal advancement flap. Her vestibular specimen positively stained CD117 PGP9.5 consistent excess mast cells nerves, respectively. Post-operatively, there was marked reduction pain 1:00 11:00 posteriorly, however she had PGAD significant residual tenderness cotton-tipped swab testing region. medically managed successfully tramadol, clonazepam low dose zolpidem. Desiring eliminate need systemic medications, patient returned age 19. Again, local anesthesia applied clitoris resulted clinically symptom discussed repeat re-excision BMG Objective To on novel technique one distressing vestibulodynia PGAD. Methods Pre-operative counseling included discussion routine surgical risks, benefits, alternatives, additional possible complications including failure procedure relieve or vestibulodynia, contracture, harvest site sexual dysfunction, disfigurement. Buccal mucosal grafts for urethral reconstruction.
OBJECTIVES Patients requiring urethral reconstruction but who have a paucity of usable genital tissue present a considerable technical challenge. Herein we report the experience of three centers in the use of buccal mucosa for urethral replacement. METHODS From 1991 to 1996, 22 urethral reconstructions were completed using a graft of buccal mucosa. Eighteen of 22 patients had previously faile...
متن کاملReconstruction of the long urethral strictures with the buccal mucosal free graft.
INTRODUCTION Reconstruction of the long urethral strictures is a difficult task in urology. The most frequently usedmethod is augmentation with the free buccal mucosal graft. MATERIAL AND METHODS Restrospective analysis of 57 patients with the long urethral stricture was performed. All patients were evaluated endosco- pically and radiologically before the surgery. Buccal mucosal graft harvest...
متن کاملBuccal mucosal graft urethroplasty in men—risk factors for recurrence and complications: a third referral centre experience in anterior urethroplasty using buccal mucosal graft
BACKGROUND Urethral stricture disease is a challenging condition to treat and several approaches including direct visual internal urethrotomy (DVIU) and anastomotic or augmentation urethroplasties based on the use of flaps and graft have been reported. The aim of this study is to determine risk factors for stricture recurrence and complications in patients having buccal mucosal graft (BMG) uret...
متن کاملFistula repair after hypospadias surgery using buccal mucosal graft.
INTRODUCTION The aim of this study was to evaluate the success rate of urethrocutaneous fistula repair using buccal mucosal graft in patients with a previous hypospadias repair. MATERIALS AND METHODS We reviewed records of our patients with urethrocutaneous fistula developed after hypospadias repair in whom buccal mucosal graft fistula repair had been performed. All of the patients had been f...
متن کامل[Buccal flap in reconstruction of mucosal defects in oral cavity].
INTRODUCTION The buccal flaps are an effective alternative in treatment patients with small defects of the oral cavity due to: the small size of the flap, the lack of donor site, less risk of postoperative complications and short procedure time. MATERIAL AND METHODS In the Department of Otolaryngology and Laryngological Oncology in Poznan in the years 2005-2008 was performed 7 resections of o...
